This Gypsy Soul blog is my personal blog, apart from my wedding photography business. I’m pretty busy these days tending to the schedule of a new baby boy, but when he gives me a free moment, I like to update this blog. What do I post? Photos mostly, and the stories that go along with those photos, DIY projects I’ve completed, recipes and how to directions, and products I adore. That’s mostly what I post about. Thanks for stopping by – I’d love to hear from you too!
“Where’s the ‘Gypsy Soul’ title come from?” you ask… I’ve always like this idea that my family and I are just travelers, nomads sort of. Because of our military lifestyle, we don’t stay in any one location too long – typically 3 years max. It’s usually just enough time to make friends and make a name for myself and then pack up to start all over again in a new city. We’ve been lucky enough to make lifelong friends in Denver, CO, Jacksonville, FL and San Diego, CA. We have friends and family all over the country and world, for that matter. The Gypsy Soul name was also inspired by a fantastic song by the Zac Brown Band, “Colder Weather.” Check it out for yourself!
“What is your business?” you ask… Maria Healey Wedding Photography – Timeless wedding photography with a modern twist. I am a wedding photographer for the sophisticated bride and groom. I currently call San Diego home, but that changes often, as my husband is in the Navy. I’m happy to travel anywhere for your wedding photography needs.
